With less than a week until the November 5th election here is one more quick summary of the operational referendum question on the ballot.
You may notice an update to the 2024 mill rate after the School Board met and approved the mill rate last week at a rate better than anticipated. The most current numbers increase our confidence in our projections that renewing the current operational funding levels will allow us to maintain our goal of a steady to decreasing mill rate in years to come.
For more information check out our website at https://www.bangor.k12.wi.us/page/operational-referendum-information-2024 or feel free to reach out to Dr. Brokopp with additional questions.

The Spanish 4 class built an ofrenda as the students gear up to celebrate Día de los Muertos next week. Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a holiday dedicated to honoring loved ones that have passed away. It is believed that this is the one time that the spirits of loved ones return to their families on the day of the dead each year. Ofrendas are built in houses to honor the loved ones. Students are invited to bring in a photo of family or friends that have passed away to place on the class ofrenda.

Mrs. Olson’s art classes have been busy this past month creating amazing artwork. 6th grade have been learning about values and created gum ball machines using a glue resist technique and pastels. 7th grade made fences out of craft sticks and then painted their graffiti style names with paint markers. The high school Art Survey class created ice cream cones on black paper using white colored pencils.
